Extended deadline call for papers and poster presentations Child in the City 2012
Child in the City 2012 will take place at the Westin Zagreb (Croatia) from 26 – 28 September 2012. The four main themes of the conference are; health, play, children’s rights and intergenerational development. Read more about the themes >>>
We have been overwhelmed by the great number of abstracts received! Thank you all for your contributions.
Despite this great number of abstracts one subject however stays behind: the intergenerational development. As children don’t want to be an isolated group of citizens, also other groups (as older people) don’t want to be isolated. Therefore the intergenerational theme is more than an decoration, it’s an essential quality of the society. This theme is discussed throughout Europe. No isolation or growing apart for generations, but integration. As this is possible within the family, it also has to be realised at the level of the whole society.
In order to reach a more balanced number of contributions for each of the four themes, we herewith launch a warm appeal to yet send us abstracts on the above topic. In case of interest, please send us your abstract before 29 February 2012.
On the other hand, the call for papers on children’s rights, health and play will definitely be closed at 15 February 2012. More details and the abstract (format) requirements >>> |
